Organised by local public and private organisations, Energy Days are activities and events that raise awareness of energy efficiency and renewables. Any activity can be an Energy Day – from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station – all engage citizens and energy stakeholders in building the Energy Union.

EAACA is pleased to invite you to a High Level Policy Conference as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2014.
The event is titled “Towards a Pragmatic Energy Policy for Buildings along the Supply Chain” and will discuss the AAC industry’s view on improving energy efficiency in buildings and what realistic and affordable zero Energy Building solutions could look like. It will also discuss how transport of construction products along the supply chain can be made more sustainable and efficient in partnership with builders’ merchants.

On 17 February 2009, the European Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Association (EAACA) organised a debate in Brussels, hosted by Mrs Silvia-Adriana Ţicău, the Member of the European Parliament managing the work on energy efficiency of buildings, to discuss sustainable building solutions for a low-energy future.
Green Week 2008

Green Week is the biggest annual conference devoted to European environmental policy. The focus of this year’s Green Week is sustainable use of resources. Under the slogan ‘Only One Earth – don’t waste it,’ the four-day forum brings together policy-makers and experts from the scientific, business and NGO communities in Europe and beyond to debate key sustainability issues.

EAACA invited participants to a policy debate combined with a visit of the “Living Tomorrow” building near Brussels. This is a very innovative ‘House of the Future’ made of AAC, which integrates sustainability concerns in its architecture and equipment.
